Is your libido so low, sex so painful, or orgasms so rare that you often think: “not any night, honey!”

Rest assured you are not alone. In this Menopause Talk, Dr. Rachel Rubin and Dr. Maria Uloko will talk with us unabashedly about what is going on in our bodies, and what can be done to address the sexual symptoms of menopause that can cause us both physical and emotional pain. As urologists and sexual medicine specialists, Drs. Rubin and Uloko advise their patients daily on effective ways to navigate these challenges. In this Menopause Talk, they will walk us through real-life clinical vignettes, discuss treatments they recommend, and answer our many questions.

About the speakers:

Dr. Rachel Rubin is a board-certified urologist and sexual medicine specialist. She is an assistant clinical professor of urology at Georgetown University and works in a private practice in the Washington DC region where she was named a Washingtonian Top Doctor for the past 3 years. She is one of only a handful of physicians fellowship-trained in male and female sexual medicine. Dr. Rubin is a clinician, researcher, and passionate educator. She completed her medical and undergraduate training at Tufts University, her urology training at Georgetown University, and her fellowship training under Dr. Irwin Goldstein in San Diego. In addition to being education chair for the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), she also serves as Associate Editor for Sexual Medicine Reviews.

Dr. Maria Uloko is a urologist who specializes in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction, female sexual pain, low libido, hormone therapy, and more. She strives to empower her patients to take ownership of their sexual health by providing a shame-free space to ask questions and share their stories. As an assistant professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Uloko trains medical students, residents and fellows in urology and sexual health. She completed a fellowship in comprehensive sexual health at San Diego Sexual Medicine and Scripps, did residencies in urology and general surgery at University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and earned her medical degree from University of Missouri—Kansas City School of Medicine.
